Harford Morse was born on 19 January 1788.1 One source shows his birth date as 9 January 1788.2 He was the son of Ezra Morse and Susanna Guild.

The intention of marriage of Harford Morse and Lucy Gay of Sharon was entered on 12 April 1812.3

Harford Morse married Lucy Gay, daughter of Solomon Gay and Chloe Daniels, on 30 April 1812 at Sharon, Massachusetts.4 Harford Morse and Lucy Gay resided in Roxbury, Massachusetts.1

Harford Morse was a soap boiler. He and his brothers Amos and Lewis were first to establish a conveyance for passengers between Roxbury and Boston.2 They also established the Roxbury "hourlies," which were stage coaches that ran every hour from the Washington coffee house in Boston to Roxbury.2,5

Harford Morse was a founder of the Universalist Church in Roxbury, Massachusetts.2

Harford Morse died on 28 October 1830 at age 42.1,6,2
