Caroline Augusta Morse was born on 6 June 1825 at Warren Street, Roxbury, Massachusetts.1,2 She was the daughter of Harford Morse and Lucy Gay.

Caroline Augusta Morse married Alonzo Josselyn, son of Charles Josselyn and Lucy Dwelley, on 24 December 1846 at Roxbury, Massachusetts.3,4,5,6 The marriage was performed by the Reverend Cyrus Hyde Fay, who at the time was pastor of the Universalist Society at Roxbury.4,7

Caroline Augusta Morse appeared on the census of 13 September 1850 at Ward 11, Boston, Massachusetts, in the household of her husband.8

Caroline Augusta Morse appeared on the census of 20 July 1860 at Ward 3, City of Roxbury, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, in the household of her husband.9

Caroline Augusta Morse died on 13 May 1865 in Centre Place, Roxbury, Massachusetts, at age 39.10,11,2,12,6 The cause of death was "cancer of uterus."12 She was buried on 16 May 1865 in Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.2,13,14
