Harford Morse

Harford Morse was born on 17 November 1816.1,2 He was the son of Harford Morse and Lucy Gay.

Harford Morse appeared on the census of 12 August 1850 at Roxbury, Massachusetts, in the household of his mother.3 He was a coppersmith according to the August 1850 census.3 He lived in 1852 at 30 Warren Street, near Washington Street, Roxbury, Massachusetts, according to a 1852 Roxbury directory.4

Harford Morse appeared on the census of 26 June 1860 at Roxbury, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, in the household of his mother, where his occupation was shown as "Copper Smith."5

Harford Morse appeared on the census of 31 August 1870 at Boston Highlands, Massachusetts, in the household of his mother.6 He was a coppersmith according to the August 1870 census.6

Harford Morse died in 1879.7 He was buried on 18 June 1879 in Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.7,8,9 A sampler made by Harford was in the possession of Nancy (DeVoe) Webert in the 1980s.10
