Charles Dwelly Josselyn was born on 6 June 1848 in Warren Street, Roxbury, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Alonzo Josselyn and Caroline Augusta Morse.

Charles Dwelly Josselyn appeared on the census of 13 September 1850 at Ward 11, Boston, Massachusetts, in the household of his father.5

Charles Dwelly Josselyn appeared on the census of 20 July 1860 at Ward 3, City of Roxbury, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, in the household of his father. According to the census, he attended school within the year.6

Charles Dwelly Josselyn died on 4 July 1869 in Boston Highlands, Massachusetts, at age 21.7,3,4 He had been sent on a Mediterranean cruise to recover from tuberculosis, but died of this disease.8,9 He was buried on 7 July 1869 in Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.3,10,11
