Charles Josselyn was born on 9 January 1767 in Pembroke, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Charles Josselyn and Rebecca Keen.

Charles Josselyn was christened on 25 January 1767 in First Church, Pembroke, Massachusetts.5

Charles Josselyn married first Lucy Dwelley, daughter of Jedediah Dwelley and Lydia Soule, on 14 November 1790 at Pembroke, Massachusetts.6,7,8

Barry's history of Hanover, Massachusetts states he lived in H'n, [Hanson] and was for some years engaged in the Iron Business, at Sylvester's Forge, and on King st., and also in the Factory, in H'n.6

In about 1816, Charles Josselyn and others erected a forge in Hanover which in 1853 was owned by Bates and Holmes.9

Charles Josselyn married secondly Joanna Chamberlain, daughter of Freedom Chamberlain and Priscilla Josselyn, on 6 January 1831 at Pembroke, Massachusetts.10,11

Charles Josselyn appeared on the census of 1840 at Hanover, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, in which there was listed 1 male 70 and under 80 (Charles), and 1 female 50 and under 60 (presumably his second wife Joanna.)12

Charles Josselyn died on 2 November 1846 in Hanson, Massachusetts, at age 79.1,6,13,14,15 Another source gives his place of death as Pembroke, Massachusetts.16 He was buried in Pembroke Centre Cemetery, Pembroke, Massachusetts.14
