Ozen Josselyn was born on 29 March 1798.1,2,3,4 According to the Pembroke vital records, he was born on 4 February 1798 at Pembroke, Massachusetts.5 He was the son of Charles Josselyn and Lucy Dwelley.

Ozen Josselyn married Lucy Eells Barstow, daughter of Elijah Barstow and Lucy Eells, on 26 November 1823 at Hanover, Massachusetts.1,6 He lived for a time at the Four Corners, Hanover, Massachusetts, and kept the tavern there; and in 1853 was an Inspector at the Custom House in Boston.7

Ozen Josselyn died on 3 October 1855 in Hamden (?), Kansas, at age 57.8,6,9,1 He was buried in Hanover Center Cemetery, Hanover, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.9
