The date 1660 is is often given as a birth date for Catherine, but is probably too early. Brother Robert is her guardian in 1687. By that time she should be 27 if the birth is 1660 (see Old Rappanhannock deed 8 Mar 1687/8).

Charles lived next door to William Woodford I. While William was in England, Charles looked in on his slaves and Woodford operated as his London agent without commission. Charles' patience was tested, however, when one of Woodford's slaves came over for medical assistance and infected Charles' slave quarters. Woodford wrote Charles from London begging him to retain the arrangment. We know from Turberville v Long that Charles was born in 1670. In the Rapp COB 5 Feb 1691/2, Chas is ordered to be paid from the est of Robt T, decd. This is probably the coming of age of Chas which would fix the probable date of his birth in Jan.

A Charles T has been dead for a length of time by 1723 so that several slave have had children. This Charles has wife Ann who then marries William Baker. Unless it is some missing T this is the most likely candidate. But Ann is supposed to marry Edward Evans. An Edward Evans dies in 1726 leaving widow Elizabeth. Zachariah T drafts a will in 1721. He leaves to cousins Kemp and Mildred. This suggests that Charles is not his brother, but his Uncle.

Charles Taliaferro's Bible is quoted in Paxton's Marshall Family. We also have a copy of the Bible itself. It is printed in 1756. It records Charles Taliaferro's death in a different and lighter hand than other information which indicates it may have been kept current by Charles T. Notes accompanying it indicate that it was rebound in the 1870s. Families later than Charles' may have been added at that time. The theory of T family origins printed there is incorrect. So the Bible seems to be reliable for Charles, his brothers and sisters, but may not be accurate after that time. Some of the information can be difficult to read on photocopy. Isabell may have been born on the 9 or 19 of February. Her father was Rev. Roderick McCullogh. A text written in 1871 now accompanies the Bible and provides some additional information. That information indicates that Richard T died in Port Royal rather than that he drowned in the Potomac. There is no indication that this information is contemporaneous with Richard's death. This narrative appears to be written by James Gowan T, grandson of Chas through Zacharias.
