Benjamin Henry Burrell, fire engine builder of Roxbury, age 35, was a passenger on the packet ship Sweden that sailed from Boston on 1 March 1849 and arrived in San Francisco on 3 August 1849.4,5,1,6 His brother-in-law Franklin Morse sailed on the same ship.
