Nellie Pluym was born on 10 July 1914 at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. She was one of twelve children.1

Nellie Pluym married Albert LeRoy DeVoe, son of John Herbert DeVoe and Edith Edna Tompkins, in 1941.2

Nellie Pluym and Albert LeRoy DeVoe resided in 1980 at 9 Wampus Avenue, Armonk, Westchester County, New York.3

She developed Alzheimer's disease, and in 1995 moved to North Carolina to be with her daughter Sandra.4

Nellie Pluym died on 30 September 1999 at age 85.4
