Jacob C. Grogan was born in June 1872 in New Jersey.1

Jacob C. Grogan appeared on the census of 15 June 1880 at Rail Road Avenue, Harrison, New Jersey, in the household of Alice Grogan, age 25, presumably his mother or stepmother as Jacob is shown as her son.2

Jacob C. Grogan married Bertha Emily DeVoe, daughter of Isaac DeVoe and Cordelia A. Oakley, on 8 June 1898.3

Jacob C. Grogan appeared on the census of 13 June 1900 at 509 Cross Street, Harrison, Hudson County, New Jersey, in which he was described as a clerk in a freight office.1

Jacob C. Grogan appeared on the census of 19 April 1910 at 76 Hoyt Street, Kearny, Hudson County, New Jersey, where his occupation was shown as foreman of a lamp works.4

Jacob C. Grogan appeared on the census of 8 February 1920 at Newark, New Jersey, where he was shown as superintendent in a soup works.5

Jacob C. Grogan died on 16 September 1939 at age 67.6
