Comments and contact
Unlikely as it is that anyone noticed but the comments section for Atomized is disabled. Not merely disabled rather, the comments function is simply /gone since Userland.com discontinued upkeep of the Radio Userland web log service at the end of last year. I got so few comments previously that it's not worth looking into and paying for a third party comment host. I belatedly realized the Email link was wired by a macro to go through the Userland server and so that was not working either leaving nothing on the surface of this thing letting the outraged and interested communicate with me. I re-did this so that it now leads directly to a working email address. The email drop is in the same place it used to be, in the left hand navigation column, and is represent by a small pixel guard-mail envelope. I would clear all the old Userland comments kruft out of the templates. I am wary of this; though, I get the feeling this whole thing is in a delicate balance. It's aging library of macros already sometimes make entire posts disappear forever when they come across something they don't recognize. It took me most of the month of February getting it to work at all. Possibly some comments were lost in that period, I'm not sure . One of the Userland supplied things I do miss is the daily referrer log. This let me know what searches were letting people off at this stop. That was nice. Its the little feed-back things that keep you engaged.
