There is some question about whether the John who goes to King George is, in fact, the one who is son of John of the Mount. Campbell in Caroline County Chronicles indicates that John the Younger was appointed to the county court in 1741, and dies in office. If he is right, either the John who goes to King George or John the younger are not the son of John. We know that William, son of Francis from Caroline, is working with the Robinsons. John the younger might be the one who marries Frances Robinson of Middlesex.

John made his fame as an explorer and Indian fighter. As early as 1682, he had explored the branches of the Rappahannock. Fairfax Harrison, "Western Explorations in VA Between Lederer and Spotswood," VM 30(1922): 327. From G. H. S. King Pprs, VHS, f5: Lt, commanding a company of rangers against the Indians in 1692; justice of Essex from 1695; sheriff, 1699; in Burgesses 1699-1700. Although John receives the Snow Creek Land, it seems clear that he never lived on Snow Creek. That area was still too dangerous in his time. He lived near the Peumansend.
