The Alaska Climate Research Center, located in Fairbanks, keeps track of weather patterns throughout the state. It is a great source for finding data on climate trends as well as current weather conditions. They archive climate data, compile statistics, and produce monthly weather summaries. The ACRC works in partnership the University of Alaska Fairbanks to conduct related research projects.

The Army Corps of Engineers excavated this tunnel 10 miles north of Fairbanks between 1963-1969. Since then it has been used to study permafrost and other geographic and geological characteristics of the area. The site also contains information regarding other aspects of Alaska.
