Taking Care of Our World

Summer Camp Week 1- June 22, 2015     Lesson Plans
The first week of camp, children spent time getting to know each other and the routines. Although many of the children attended the CYC during the school year, they have been placed with different classmates and/or classrooms during the summer. The Green Room has a music class and goes to the pool two times each week. They also have a Guinea Pig for a class pet.

This week the children learned the word environment in relationship to the world around them. They took two walking field trips to discover more aspects of their environment so that in the following weeks when they discuss ways to take care of their world they will have a better idea of the things in it.
