Nathaniel Folliot after biking the C&O Cannal
Email: nfolliot@terpmail.umd.edu
Hello! My name is Nathaniel, and I am a freshman at the University of Maryland, College Park, majoring in Biology. I am also a member of the College Park Scholars Science and Global Change program, where I'm learning how science can be used to address the ever-growing environmental and societal challenges we face. I've always been fascinated by how living systems interact, and I hope to carry that fascination into a career focused on ecology or conservation.
Outside of academics, I was an active member of the Boy Scouts throughout middle and high school, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and gaining countless new skills along the way. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, whether hiking, camping, or biking, which led me to join the Terrapin Trail Club here at UMD. When I'm indoors, I like computer gaming, building PCs, and watching shows or movies. Through this ePortfolio, I hope to share my growth as a student and as someone passionate about understanding and preserving the natural world around us, while reflecting on the experiences that have shaped my academic and personal journey.
