My name is Kathleen Monahan, but I go by Kick. I am an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland College Park where I am currently a biochemistry and microbiology double major. I am currently an undergraduate in the Poulin lab in the Chemistry and Biochemistry department of UMD. I am also a Science and Global Change College Park Scholar! With my College Park Scholars program, I hope to gain a better context for climate change and how I can contribute to either lessening the impact of human generated waste or helping with alternatives to carbon-dioxide-producing energy. For my major, I hope to learn cool things about microbiology and biochemistry and how math is instrumental in the interpretation and prediction models of both those fields.
