Mildred Townsend was born in 1900 or 1901 in New York State.1 She was the daughter of Benjamin S. Townsend and Venia S. ____.1

Mildred Townsend married Irving Leslie DeVoe, son of John Herbert DeVoe and Edith Edna Tompkins, in 1919 or 1920.1

Mildred Townsend appeared on the census of 26 April 1930 at 25 Lawton Avenue, Hartsdale, Greenburgh Township, Westchester County, New York, in the household of her father, together with her husband and daughter Jean.1

Mildred Townsend appears in a family photograph possibly taken at the time of John Herbert and Edith DeVoe's fiftieth wedding anniversary in 1938.

Mildred Townsend appeared on the census of 15 April 1940 at 25 Lawton Avenue, Hartsdale, Westchester County, New York, in the household of her father, together with her husband and daughter; her occupation was shown as law secretary.2

Mildred Townsend was living in May 1977.3
