Mary Cushing Mann

Mary Cushing Mann was born on 2 January 1794 in Hanover, Massachusetts.1,2 She was the daughter of Captain Joshua Mann and Mary Cushing.3 Her g-g-g-grandfather, Richard Mann, came to Plymouth in the Mayflower in 1620.4

Mary Cushing Mann married Oren Josselyn, son of Charles Josselyn and Lucy Dwelley, on 14 February 1816 at Hanover, Massachusetts.5,6,7,8 They lived in 1853 on King Street, Hanover, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.6

Mary Cushing Mann died on 2 August 1854 in Hanover, Massachusetts, at age 60.2,9 She was buried in Hanover Center Cemetery, Hanover, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.9

The sixth and last child of Oren and Mary, George Russell Josselyn, born 7 June 1834, was killed in the Civil War.10 Carol Kroeger's book gives George's date of death as 7 September 1863.2
