Joshua Wilder was born on 19 December 1813 in Hingham, Massachusetts.1

Joshua Wilder married Anjalina Josselyn, daughter of Charles Josselyn and Lucy Dwelley, on 11 January 1854 at Hingham, Massachusetts.2,3,4 A note by Alonzo Josselyn states that his aunt, Angeline Josselyn, married "Isac Wilder of Hingham."5
