Harold Nelson Bliss married Thyra Magdalene Jeremiassen, daughter of Carl C. Jeremiassen and Jeanne Suter, on 25 June 1919.4

Harold Nelson Bliss appeared on the census of 3 January 1920 at 101 Thurston Avenue, Ithaca, New York, where his home was shown as rented.7 He was an engineer in manufacturing according to the January 1920 census.7

Harold Nelson Bliss died on 20 September 1956 in Ithaca, New York, at age 70.1,3 He was buried on 27 April 1957 in Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.1,8,9
