Richard Dwelley's surname was also spelled "Dwelly." He probably emigrated from England.1 He lived in 1665 in Scituate, Massachusetts.2,3 He fought in 1676 against the Indians in King Philip's War, and for his services received a grant of land on what became East Street in Hanover, Massachusetts.2

Richard Dwelley died on 27 May 1692.2,4
