Harold Bruce Troupe was born on 24 July 1894 in Exeter Street, West Hartlepool, Yorkshire, England. He was the son of George Robert Troupe and Elizabeth Ryder.
Harold Bruce Troupe married Elsie Jones on 9 June 1920 at Westbourne Methodist Church, West Hartlepool, Yorkshire, England. He became a civil servant. He was an organist and choirmaster for fifty years, starting at Westbourne Methodist Church and then moving in 1925 to St. Matthew's Church. Harold Bruce Troupe and Elsie Jones were confirmed in 1929 in the Church of England. Subsequently he was organist and choirmaster at Christ Church and St. Oswald's Church in Hartlepool.
Harold Bruce Troupe died on 2 November 1967 at age 73.
