Elizabeth Ryder was born on 30 December 1863. She was a harmoniumist and Sunday School teach at Bar Methodist Church in Harrogate, Yorkshire, where she met George Robert Troupe.
Elizabeth Ryder married George Robert Troupe, son of John Bruce Troup and Jane Black, on 20 September 1892 at Bar Methodist Church, Bilton Road, Harrogate, Yorkshire, England. Elizabeth Ryder died on 8 October 1918 at age 54 of pulmonary tuberculosis.
