DeVoe remembered visiting the William Walpole farm, a 300-acre working dairy farm at Clinton Corners, Dutchess County, New York.7,8

William Robert Walpole died on 29 December 1925 at age 71.9 He was buried on 31 December 1925 in lot 1350 (Walpole plot), Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, Westchester County, New York.10,9,11
