Miles Oakley was born on 24 December 1671 in the Borough Town of Westchester, New York.1,2 He was the son of Miles Oakley and Mary Wilmot. Miles Oakley was baptized on 25 October 1680.1
Miles Oakley married Mercy Gardner, daughter of Henry Gardner and Elizabeth Cromwell, in 1694.2,3 Miles Oakley was a vestryman of St. Peter's Church in the Borough Town of Westchester in 1709; an alderman in 1719; and president of the Board of Trustees in 1720.2
Miles Oakley married second Elizabeth Barlow in 1723.3 Horne gives the year as 1724.2 He was elected mayor of the Borough Town of Westchester in 1727 and 1733.4
Miles Oakley married third Hannah Horton in June 1730.3 Miles Oakley was a miller in 1735 in Harlem, City of New York, New York.4
