This is my senior picture from Severna Park High School.

Hi, my name is Gavin Bramble. I am from Severna Park, MD. I graduated from Severna Park High School, where I was a part of the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program (check out my academic portfolio from PLTW here or at the link at the bottom of the page). I was also a member of the Technology Student Association (TSA) where I competed in the computer-aided design event (CAD, 3D Engineering). I placed first at the State Competition and was a National Finalist at the National Conference.

I am excited to be a part of the Science and Global Change Scholars program at UMD. I took an environmental science class in high school that opened my eyes up to climate issues and ways to reduce my own carbon footprint. Therefore, I am ready to learn more and be able to actually make a difference using knowledge culminated from both high school and the SGC program.

I am an Aerospace Engineering major, Astronomy minor, who is interested in the astronautical aspects of aerospace engineering. I took an aerospace engineering class in high school, which is where I found my interest in aerospace. With a degree in Aerospace Engineering from UMD, I hope to find myself working at a place like NASA, SpaceX, or Northrop Grumman.
