Una de las alternativas que explican la formación de los continentes e islas es atribuida a los volcanes.Antiguamente los volcanes eran acuáticos, éstos al hacer erupción iban formando varias capas de lava hasta llegar a la superficie y formaban una isla pequeña o un gran continente.

En Chile, sudamérica, hay muchos volcanes, pero de éstos sólo algunos han hecho erupción, de los cuales los más importantes son: Villarrica, Hudson, Osorno, Llaima, Lonquimay, y algunos otros.

En la Isla de Pascua la mayoría de los volcanes son acuáticos, pero también hay algunos que se pueden visitar, el Orongo y el Rano Kau, ellos tienen unos lagos maravillosos dentro de sus cráteres.

One of the alternatives in which continents and islands are formed is related to volcanoes.

In ancient times volcanoes were aquatic so when they erupted many layers of lava were taking shape and when they reached the surface a little island or a big continent appeared .

In Chile (South América) there are lots of volcanoes, but only some of them have erupted. The most important are : Villarica, Hudson, Osorno, Llaima, Lonquimay, and some others.

In Eastern Island ( Isla de Pascua) most of the volcanoes are aquatic, but they also have big volcanoes that you can visit, the Orongo and the Rano Kau, they have beautiful lakes in their craters.
