En Chile no tenemos palabras propias de nuestra cultura que incluyan la letra w, es por eso que elegimos el nombre inglés de un barco que lo puede llevar a nuestra Antártica, también conocida como el continente blanco.

El turismo Antártico hasta el momento se efectua en hoteles flotantes, o sea, buenos barcos acondicionados para dar seguridad y bienestar a los pasajeros.

A partir de 1979,Chile se incorporó al turismo en la Atártica con el buque especializado M/S World Discoverer, a bordo del cual se realizó el primer foro en la Antártica.

We don't have chilean words using the letter w in our culture, thats why we chose the english name of a ship that can take you to the Antartica, also famous as the white continent.

The antartic tourism, up to now, is carried out in floating hotels,that is good well-conditioned ships to give safety and welfare to all the passengers.

Chile is incorporated to tourism in the Antartica since 1979 with the specialized M/s World Discoverer.

It was on board of this ship that the first conference in the Antartica took place.
