ANNAPOLIS

by Erin M.

Annapolis was colonial port city filled with buildings that were important places in the Revolutionary War. One of these buildings is the State House. Two very important events took place there during the war. One of these important events was George Washington's resignation. The other was the signing of the Treaty of Paris. Other important places are the Chase Lloyd house, and the Hammond Harwood house. There is another very important place in Annapolis. It is right along the Chesapeake Bay. It is called the United States Naval Academy. The United States Naval Academy is where all the Navy's officers get their training. We are lucky to have such an important place right here in Annapolis. Annapolis today is loved by many people, but especially by boat owners. Boat owners love to come down to Annapolis and enjoy this charming seventeenth century city.
