Hello! My name is Simone Robinson and I am a bioengineering student on the biotechnology and therapeutics track at the University of Maryland. I am from Columbia, Maryland and a second year student. My career aspirations are to work in pharmaceutical development and transition to biotech consulting. I have a large background in community service as I was in Girl Scouts and was the president of a service based club focused on feeding the underprivileged. I value leadership along with community service and I hope to use my skills in both in my future academic and career endeavors. As for my scholars experience, I hope to build a stronger knowledge of the world around us and advocate for the aspects of it that are not spoken about. I also hope to build connections and friendships through my peers and mentors in order to make the most of my experience in the Science and Global Change scholars program.
