My name is Stephen Aquilina and I am a mathematics major at the University of Maryland. I am also a current member of Science and Global Change (SGC), a program of College Park Scholars from the University of Maryland. I am a proud alumni of the Science and Mathematics Academy (SMA), a specialized high school for students gifted and interested in mathematical, or scientific fields.

I have previously completed research with a UD professor and one of his Ph.D. students (link to poster below) to investigate antichains and their connection with linear code. I hope that through the University of Maryland that I will be able to participate in more research in new areas that will have wide applications. In my own time, just for fun, I have also investigated various mathematical and logic-based topics to learn more about them, which is something that most people can not truthfully claim.
