I have a lot of hobbies, perhaps too many to enumerate here. Oh, wait! An opportunity for a list! Okay, here goes:
- Reading
- Photography
- Sewing
- Cooking
- Needlepoint
- Hiking
- Music -- Singing and Playing
I don't do any of these things any more, because I'm busy learning to be a librarian!

One of the things I have done for a long time -- but not since I became a grad student -- is play the flute. My father always said -- wait for it -- that I was a pretty good flute player, for an English teacher. |

Remember how I mentioned my father? He thought I should learn to fix my own car, so wicked mechanics couldn't take advantage of me. This was never a hobby of mine, despite my apparently happy smile. What I learned was to drive new cars and sell them when they begin to break down. Don't tell my father! |
