Hello, I'm Quinn and I am a freshman at UMD. My interests include chemistry and astronomy though I have yet to decide which I am going to major in. I am also in the Science and Global Change College Park Scholars Program. I have always been fascinated by the mysteries of our universe such as black holes and the origin of the universe. I hope to pursue a career in chemical or astronomical research.

I also play the alto saxophone in the Mighty Sound of Maryland marching band and in the Maryland Pep Band. I have been playing the saxophone for three and half years now and enjoy the amazing community that the band provides. I also have done research with the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense. I worked on modifying and characterizing polysaccharides in a hydrogel meant for detecting dermal chemical threats. I am looking forward to growing as a student and a person throughout my time at UMD and in the SGC program
