A Picture of Mehiret

Hello! My name is Mehiret, and I’m a freshman studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Maryland. On campus, I’m a part of the Engineers Without Borders Uganda Team and a member of Terrapin Rockets. I also run a tutoring organization called AGRE, which helps girls in Ethiopia learn English. So far, my favorite aspects of UMD have been the fun and new experiences, meeting new people, and enjoying the freedom and independence that college life offers. Over the next four years, I hope to study abroad, gain internships related to aerospace engineering, and become more involved with the SGC!
