AMSC/CMSC 667 Exams, Spring 2013

All in-class exams are "closed book". No books, notes, calculators or any other outside assistance is allowed. Desks must be clear of all but the examination paper, examination booklet, pens, pencils, and erasers.

In-Class Midterm Exam, Thursday, 14 March 2013 (100 points)

This exam will cover:
1. Numerical Methods for Initial-Value Problems
2. Numerical Methods for Boundary-Value Problems
If the University closes on the scheduled exam day then the exam will be given the next time the class meets.
Make-up exams are rarely given.

Final Exam, 10:30am-12:30pm Wednesday, 15 May 2013 (200 points)

This exam will be comprehensive, but will emphasize material not covered on the midterm exam.
If you miss the final exam, and if by noon the on Friday you present a legitimate, well-documented excuse showing that for reasons beyond your control it was impossible for you to take the Final Exam, and if you have a passing grade at the time of the Final Exam (a B or better for graduate students), you will receive a grade of "I" for the course. In all other cases, a score of zero will be assigned for the Final Exam and your course grade will be computed accordingly.

University Honor Pledge

During each exam all students will be asked to write and sign the University Honor Pledge on their examination booklet: "I pledge on my honor that I have not given or received any unauthorized assistance on this examination."
