Welcome to the Castle of Fu KenChu!

The Cast:Joel, Clay, Frank, and the 'Bots

This is Ken's MST3K page. For those of you unfamiliar with MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000), it was a wonderful show, produced by Best Brains, that aired on cable's Comedy Central, and later Sci-Fi Channel. The basic idea of the show is to watch really bad movies and make fun of them, but that is a gross oversimplification. To learn more about the show, I suggest looking at one of the more comprehensive MST3K pages, such as Deus Ex Machina

It's hard for me to believe that I've been watching MST3K for so long. My tape/DVD collection contains every episode that ever aired, along with "MST3K: The Movie" and several fan-made hommages to MST3K. I am a proud member of the MST Info Club (member #33025).

Here are a few other links that might be of interest to MiSTies:

The Internet Movie Database - This thing is pretty amazing: tons of movies, directors, actors (and even sometimes the role played), and everything is massively cross-indexed. Great for Baconizing!

The Movie Madness Home Page - Lots of TV and movie merchandise, including (of course) MST3K stuff (not the same items available through the Info club, it appears). I have no commercial interest in this company, in case anyone cares.

Of course, like all the "real" MiSTies (just kidding guys), I attended the First Ever MST3K ConventioCon Expo-Fest-A-Rama in Minneapolis in 1994, and it was simply MAAA-velous. I got to meet a bunch of on-line MiSTies, tour Best Brains' studio, and see The Brains in person. Other exciting events included the Live! show (the absolute highlight of the Con) and the Glittering Costume Ball. I also volunteered to work in the Museum of Mystery Science and Technology (a room full of props from the show), so I got a nifty T-shirt (which the cast autographed) and met Toolmaster Jef Maynard. I even was included in the Con video (for all of five seconds). And most importantly, I got to see my favorite Invention Exchange:

<--- The Porkarina!

And I went back again for the ConventioCon Expo-Fest-A-Rama 2: Electric Boogaloo Labor Day 1996 - sometimes you just can't get enough.

And finally...

On a recent trip to the city of Turku, Finland, I had a doozy of an MST3K experience. Do you still wonder where you can get your very own Sampo? Well, wonder no more - look what I found!
