Hi Everyone! My name is Juliana and I am a freshman Aerospace Engineering major at the University of Maryland, College Park. I am apart of the LSAMP Bridge Program which is apart of the Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering, Women in Aeronautics, and Astronautics, Terms Racing, as well as Women in Engineering. My interest and passion began through my mom's employment at SpaceX where I was given a front row seat in all things space! I then began a mentorship at NASA Goddard where I was able to shadow a NASA employee. My hope is to gain more knowledge about this and apply all that I have learned so far into it as well. Besides focusing on my major and all the school work, I've been enjoying spending time with friends, meeting new people, going to different events, and going to get good food and ice cream. I have really enjoyed my experience with the Science and Global Change Scholars Program as well. It has really given me an outlet to meet people and explore my love for science and the environment.
