    Overhauled the course content to teach Python's Flask framework, managing code in GitHub, and cloud deployment. The course uses modern techniques for information systems development. Industry judges were invited at the completion of each project phase (Statement of Work, Design, and Final Prototype Completion)

    Revised course for OMSBA to change to a completely asynchronous format with weekly, optional live sessions.

  • Major Revision, BMGT404: Essential Data Skills for Business Analytics (January 2021-May 2021)
    Overhauled the course content to be a follow-on course to the previously overhauled course BMGT302. The course covers more advanced content and provides additional examples tied to different business functional areas.
  • Major Revision, BMGT302: Essential Programming Skills for Business Analytics (August 2020-December 2020)
    Overhauled the course content and changed the focus to be about programming for business analytics rather than developing applications. This included a shift from solely teaching VBA to teaching Python and VBA, in response to industry changes.

    Worked with Smith IT to upgrade the tools used in the course and also overhauled the lecture materials after receiving student feedback from taught course in Fall 2019.

    Mentored multiple student teams in consulting engagements with local Maryland companies, including: CorHive, Parraid, IBSS Corporation, and N5 Sensors. Additionally, created and delivered a workshop, Consulting 101, to prepare teams for the engagements.
  • BMGT302: Deloitte Live Case Creation (April 2024)
    Allows students to understand the application of Python programming in industry. In this live case, Python and VBA was used for analyzing senior citizens in assisted living facilities for their vulnerability to disease based on medical conditions and vaccination status..
  • BMGT402: Deloitte Live Case Creation (April 2024)
    Allows students to understand how the application of databases in industry. In this live case, database data was examined to detect issues surrounding insurance fraud.
  • BMGT302: KPMG Live Case Creation (April 2023)
    Allows students to understand the application of Python programming in industry. In this live case, Python was used for process automation as it relates to operational efficiency in processing large numbers of PDF reports.
  • BMGT302: Deloitte Live Case Creation (March 2023)
    Allows students to understand the application of Python programming in industry. In this live case, Python was used for examining U.S. Census data from tax returns to determine anomalies for further review.
  • BUDT704: Nestle Industry Seminar: A Day in the Life of a Data Analyst (October 2022)
    Coordinated for a class speaker to talk about working in the analytics industry, aimed at helping MSIS students get tips on how to land a job.
  • BMGT302: CapitalOne Live Case Creation (March 2022)
    Allows students to understand the application of Python programming in industry. In this live case, Python was used for credit risk assessment analysis to determine how much money CapitalOne could make by examining account applications based on their risk and spend score.
