Beatrice Troup Kidd was born on 19 March 1886 in Skelton, Yorkshire, England. She was the daughter of Charles Kidd and Mary Jane Troup. Beatrice Troup Kidd was baptized on 29 April 1886 at Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, England.

Beatrice had a serious cycle accident in her teens and was unconscious in Guisborough Hospital for three weeks.

Beatrice Troup Kidd married Phillip Robert Passmore about 1920. Phillip and Beatrice were caretakers of the Methodist Chapel at the bottom of Green Lane, Skelton, and lived in the cottage behind.

Beatrice Troup Kidd died on 11 March 1965 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England, at age 78. She was buried in Langbaurgh Cemetery, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, England.
