Beatrix Bruce

Beatrix Bruce was born about 1775 in Yester (near Gifford), East Lothian, Scotland. She was the daughter of Charles Bruce and Rachael Smith. The parents of Beatrice (or Beatrix) are mentioned in the Bolton burial records.1

Beatrix Bruce married John Troup on 16 May 1819 at Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland.2

Beatrix Bruce appeared on the census of 1841 at Park End, Bolton, East Lothian, Scotland.3 Park End is one or two cottages outside the Lennoxlove wall, one mile south of Haddington on the Bolton road; it was still there in 2001, much renovated.
