David Robertson was born in 1816 in Scone, Perthshire, Scotland. He was the son of David Robertson and Catherine Mitchell. David Robertson was baptized on 29 April 1816 at Scone, Perthshire, Scotland.

David Robertson appeared on the census of 1851 at Lochside Farm, Lochside, Perthshire, Scotland, where he was shown as a farmer with 170 acres, employing three men.1,2

David Robertson married Jane Crombie, daughter of James Crombie and Jane Hutton, on 16 August at Tibbermore, Perthshire, Scotland, sometime after 1851 (he was shown as unmarried on the 1851 census.)

David Robertson appeared on the census of 1881 at Lochside Farm House, Lochside, Perthshire, Scotland.3,2 He was a farmer with 140 acres, employing three men, one boy, and one girl in 1881.3 He died of bronchitis on 5 January 1892 at Perth Street, Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland.4
