George Nelson Bliss was born on 17 November 1825 in Attleboro, Massachusetts.1,2,3 He was the son of George Bliss and Jerusha Martin.2

George Nelson Bliss married Lucia Smith Carpenter on 9 December 1846.2,3,4 On 24 April 1857 he was elected a deacon of the Cambridge Evangelical Church.2

George Nelson Bliss appeared on the census of 19 June 1860 at West Roxbury, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.5 He was a bookkeeper according to the June 1860 census.5 He had a printing business in 1880 at 31 Hawley Street, Boston, Massachusetts.2 He resided in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.6,7

George Nelson Bliss died on 24 February 1886 at age 60.1,3,4
