Amos Morse was born on 30 November 1772.1,2 He was the son of Ezra Morse and Susanna Guild.1
Amos Morse was a soap boiler. He and his brothers Lewis and Harford were first to establish a conveyance for passengers between Roxbury and Boston.2 They also established the Roxbury "hourlies," which were stage coaches that ran every hour from the Washington coffee house in Boston to Roxbury.2,3
Amos Morse died on 24 November 1823 at age 50.1,2
