Lindsey Josselyn was born on 12 August 1749 in Massachusetts.2,1 He was the son of Jabez Josselyn and Mary Lindsey.1

Lindsey Josselyn was a bloomer (wrought iron worker.)2

Lindsey Josselyn married first Susan Welsh in 1773.2

Lindsey Josselyn fought against the British in the Revolutionary Way, and assisted in the capture of General Burgoyne in 1777.2

Lindsey Josselyn moved about 1785 to Poultney, Vermont.2 He and his brother Samuel Josselyn erected a forge about a half mile east of East Poultney, Rutland County, Vermont.2

Lindsey Josselyn married second Huldah Fellows in October 1797 at Poultney, Rutland County, Vermont.3,4

Lindsey Josselyn died on 9 August 1826 according to the date on his gravestone.5 One source gives his date of death as 12 August 1826.2 He was buried in East Poultney Cemetery, East Poultney, Rutland County, Vermont.5
