Mary Buckett

Her surname may have been "Becket." Mary Buckett arrived in Plymouth, Massachusetts, in July 1623 aboard the Anne.1,2 She received one acre of land "on the other side of the towne towards the eele-riuer" in the division of 1623.3,4

Mary Buckett married George Soule before 1626 in Plymouth, Massachusetts.5,2 According to Stratton, her identification as George Soule's wife is based on her known presence in Plymouth in 1623, on Soule being unmarried that year, on her disappearance from the records thereafter, on Soule having a wife named Mary in the 1627 division [of cattle], and on there being no other known Mary to assign as his wife.6

On 1 March 1659 Mary Buckett and her son John were fined ten shillings for being frequently absent from public worship.7

Mary Buckett died in December 1676 in Duxbury, Massachusetts.8,2,3
