Jeffrey's name was also spelled "Geoffrey." He was born in 1298.1 He was the son of Ralph Jocelyn and Maud Sutton.2

Jeffrey Jocelyn resided at Hyde (or Hide) Hall, Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire,, and also at Shellow Bowells, Willingale-Doe, Essex.2

Jeffrey Jocelyn married Margaret Rokell, daughter of Robert Rokell.2,3

Jeffrey leased the manor of Shellow-Jocelyn, subject to a rent charge of £6 a year during the life of his (Jeffrey's) mother. This manor passed out of the Josselyn family into the possession of the Torrell family, being called Torrell's Hall or Shellow-Torrell; but it came again into the possession of the Josselyns some two hundred years later.2

Jeffrey Jocelyn died after 1362.2,4
