Thomas Josselyn was born in September 1702 in Scituate, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of Henry Josselyn and Abigail Stockbridge.1
Thomas Josselyn married his cousin Anna Stockbridge, daughter of Thomas Stockbridge and Sarah Reed, on 1 January 1732/33 at Scituate, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.2 (Barry's history of Hanover gives the date of the marriage as 1 June 1732.)3

Thomas Josselyn died on 14 June 1782 in Hanover, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, at age 79.2,5 He was buried in Pembroke Centre Cemetery, Pembroke, Massachusetts.5
On 8 January 1786 the First Church in Hanover, Massachusetts, received two silver cups for the communion table, " a legacy from Deacon Thomas Josselynn, cost £7 4s., and recorded as a token of gratitude, and to perpetuate the memory of the Benefaction."6 In 1911, Mrs. Russell Sage acquired these cups in exchange for a new solid silver communion set. She was the widow of the American financier Rusell Sage (1816-1906) and a great-great-granddaughter of Deacon Josselyn.7
