My name is Cameron Class, and I am a sophomore in the Science and Global Change Scholars program at the University of Maryland. I am currently majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Project Management. I chose to be part of the Science and Global Change program because I genuinely want to make a difference in the world. Engineering is a field centered on change and improvement, and much of what I hope to do in my career will involve creating meaningful change. Through this program, I want to better understand how the science and engineering I apply throughout my career can impact the world, both positively and negatively, so that I can work toward leaving it better than it is today.
