Methodology

•Prepared Pseudomonas Isolation Agar.

•Collected and plated outdoor ground soil on isolation agar.

•Streaked colonies that grew on isolation agar onto TSA to identify specific blue-green pigment produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

•Streaked additional colonies onto additonal Pseudomonas Isolation Agar plates.

•Continued to streak streaked colonies onto isolation agar in an attempt to purify Pseudomonas strains.

•Examined the purified colonies through colony morphology, gram stain, oxidase test, and wet mount.

•Selected the ideal Pseudomonas colonies and replated them to produce completely purified yield.

•Repeated identification tests to verify that purification of Pseudomonas occurred.
