Megabats

You might not know much about megabats, but here are some facts about them. Something you might find amazing is that megabats could be our distant relatives because they could be primates. Another thing you might not know is that some are in colonys of1,000 or more in trees or caves. You probably never looked at a megabat, but they are mostly large. That's why they're called megabats. However, some can fit in the palm of your hand. Something else you might not know is that megabats have big eyes and can see very well. That's why they don't use echolocation very much (and they don't have large ears so they can't use echolocation well.)

There are also some pretty strange facts about megabats. Something you might find strange is that no one has ever seen a megabat in the Eastern Hemisphere. Another thing you might find strange is that sometimes a megabat will fly up to 20 miles just to go to a favorite roost or a feeding place. One last thing you might find strange is that some megabats spread pollen and nectar just like bees. In conclusion, megabats are interesting creatures.
